Mike Selby, Rad Air of Lorain manager, grew up on a farm in Strongsville, Ohio working on tractors, trucks and more. He learned early on that he was mechanically inclined and participated in a high school technical program. When he graduated high school, he immediately took a job at a local Firestone auto shop. Soon after, he was hired at Ohio Bell (now AT&T) as a fleet technician. At the time, Ohio Bell had over 5,000 company vehicles working in the Cleveland area. Mike spent the next 32 years as the lead technician at a busy fleet service center in Cleveland. He knew he had to be the best technician to avoid being replaced, so he took advantage of any and all training and certification programs.
Mike retired in 2003 but still held onto his dream of managing his own auto repair shop. In 2012, Mike joined Rad Air and began managing the Lorain location in the side of K-Mart at the corners of Leavitt and Cooper Foster roads. Mike’s favorite part of working at Rad Air is getting to know the clients. He takes pride in being honest and offering expert repairs the first time the client visits the shop.
In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Kristin, their three children and four grandchildren. He also enjoys working with his hands and frequently works on remodeling projects at his own home. Mike is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and boasts he has ridden in each of the 48 continental states.

Put yourself on a regular oil change schedule and ask your service manager about other regular maintenance services which might benefit you and your driving style. Finally, always bring your vehicle in for a check-up if you notice anything different about the vehicle or the way it operates.
